(Junior) Security Analyst (M/F/D) - IT Security

We are looking for a (Junior) Security Analyst (m/f/d) to join our IT-Security unit, dedicated to protecting our online shop and corporate systems. In this role, you will triage vulnerability reports from our bug bounty program, investigate and respond to security alerts, and contribute to employee security awareness training. You’ll also work on improving our monitoring and scanning tools, stay informed about current cyber threats, and implement measures to prevent security issues.

Our security team ensures that visitors of our online shop have a safe shopping experience and their personal data is secure with us. In addition, the team also protects our corporate data and the equipment of our employees.

What you will do:

• Triage vulnerability reports submitted through our bug bounty program
• Investigate and respond to security alerts in our systems
• Participate in employee security awareness training
• Improve our monitoring and scanning tools to detect security issues and automate routine tasks
• Keep an eye on current threats in the cyber security space and implement preventative measures within the organization.

Who you are:

• Background in Computer Science, IT Administration and/or Security.
• Ability to write scripts and programs to automate tasks (Python, Bash)
• Ability to process large quantities of information from multiple sources, like emails, logs, chat alerts, etc.
• Familiar with Linux.
• Familiar with SQL
• Fluent English skills (spoken & written)

 

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Windows and MacOS
• Good communication and presentation skills, you can explain technical terms in non-technical language.
• Experience with a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, etc.)
• Experience with terraform, terragrunt
• Experience with a web application firewall
• Experience working with an EDR

Additional information:

**Working model:

Due to the upcoming tasks and responsibilities for this position, it is required to work at our headquarters in Hamburg. Therefore we've implemented a hybrid working model that allows us to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays and to work onsite from Tuesday to Thursday.
