  • Collaborate with senior cross category design leadership and BU management, Merchandising, Footwear, Development/Sourcing, Tech Design and Marketing
  • Act as strategic partner in developing and instituting creative inspiration and direction for each season to further and maintain the PUMA design aesthetic across all products within PUMA Sportstyle Footwear
  • Drive seasonal material / product innovation initiatives from inception through go-to market
  • Lead future topics like Innovation & Sustainability long term strategy together with the Development & Innovation team
  • Translate brand kick off and Global Creative Direction into relevant and consumer centric themes for the respective BU
  • Travel domestically and internationally to drive seasonal process in addition to collection inspiration, trend, and market research
  • Challenge the global brand positioning guidelines to ensure consideration of new product and program ideas and appropriate modification when necessary
  • Collect market intelligence, providing all involved with accurate and up to date information across divisions on design trends, technologies and developments and utilize them effectively
  • Manage function resources and related budgets accordingly
  • Lead regional concepts for top accounts like Footlocker, Zalando / Asos etc.
  • Monitor regional design output and align to overall brand strategy and branding strategy without compromising the regional product relevance
  • Mentor the design team through creative vision
  • Act as the global gate keeper for PUMA branding assets used by Sportstyle Category.


  • Strong relevant experience in the Sports, Fashion or Lifestyle industry specializing in Footwear and Apparel design
  • Excellent storyteller and outstanding ability to communicate seasonal stories and specific product initiatives
  • Strong networking skills and ability to manage key partnerships in multiple locations
  • Proven creative design leadership capabilities, including ability to motivate and mentor others without disciplinary team responsibility
  • Very good presentation skills and proven ability to effectively liaise with senior management from brainstorming initial ideas through to final application of the brand direction and commercial requirements
  • Strong passion for Design in the Sports industry and Street Culture
  • Excellent understanding of Design processes with the ability to design yourself
  • Willingness to travel
