THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As a Security Engineer within the Security Operations Engineering team at Zalando, you'll be managing products, services, and systems to protect our company's core assets and customers from security incidents, data leaks, and data breaches. You will be responsible for building automation into processes and improving upon current automation workflows within the Security Operations Engineering team. We own and maintain tools for Security Incident Management ,Vulnerability Management and continue to improve our security tooling within our cloud infrastructure on Hybrid Cloud Environment

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
- You have an inquisitive mind and like to understand how things work

- You are solution driven and have a pragmatic mindset: you find fast but practical solutions which work for your stakeholders.
- You have a proven background in IT, with an understanding of microservices and cloud architectures (AWS and GCP preferred)
- You would like to help establish and build up in-house tools to improve automation of security related processes.
- You are a Team player with great communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, Javascript)
- Comfortable working with APIs and enjoy developing integrations between the systems to ensure seamless process flows both cloud native and on premise.
- Open to learn the new technologies and have Enthusiasm toward Information security as a domain.
- You have experience building and deploying applications on K8s and via AWS Cloud Infrastructure will be a Plus
- Experience with deploying and maintaining vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable, Rapid7, Qualys , Anchore Grype, Trivy (or) Experience with deploying and maintaining SIEM/SOAR tools such as Splunk , Qradar , Exabeam , Phantom , XSOAR is a plus
